Our interactive dermatoscopic examination assistant idea® is an innovative and unique AI system designed to assist in the diagnosis of skin lesions. It takes a transparent, traceable and collaborative approach to analysis, working alongside doctors to reach a conclusion.

The quality of AI analysis depends on the quality of the data. With high-resolution dermatoscopic images, Magnos® provides the ideal input for idea®. The images are transmitted via Wi-Fi to the Magnos app, where they are made available immediately for AI-assisted analysis of skin lesions.

idea® uses powerful AI that can examine skin lesions in much the same way as a doctor would. Within seconds, diagnostically relevant features such as colours, patterns and symmetries are analysed and visualised. The key characteristics of idea® is that these features can be highlighted and then edited, added to or deleted by the experts.

Developed in collaboration with dermatologists, Magnos® enables healthcare professionals to more accurately examine and monitor skin tumours and other changes in the skin and skin appendages. Interaction with the Magnos® fits seamlessly into established workflows, ensuring a fast and efficient process.
When used in conjunction with the Magnos-App, data aquisition, analysis and documentation are combined into a single, seamless workflow. Thanks to interface and export functions, relevant data can be easily transferred to existing practice and documentation systems.

How reliable and clinically validated is Magnosco’s AI skin image analysis?

A study showed that idea® improves the assessment of skin lesions that are difficult to evaluate by 60%. As a certified medtech company, our algorithms are subject to ongoing quality controls and comply with the strictest regulatory requirements for medical devices. Idea® is authorised under the MDR as a Class IIa medical device.

What are the advantages over traditional digital dermatoscopes and smartphone solutions?

The Magnos® has been designed with ease of use in mind, with only the functions you really need. The handling is very similar to that of an optical dermatoscope and therefore requires almost no training. The display of realistic images with very good resolution and high colour fidelity is important to us. Every image of every Magnos has the same resolution, colour, illumination etc. with the same high production quality.

Do my patients also benefit from Magnos®?

Yes, because it shows that you are using the latest technology and are open to innovation. Additionally, the multi-touch display allows you to present your point of view in the truest sense of the word and communicate transparently with patients.

Do I need an iPad for the app?

Yes, the Magnos app only runs on the iPad. We can offer a solution to you if you already have an iPad, as well as a package consisting of Magnos and iPad. Our sales team will be happy to advise you.

Is the data stored in the cloud?

No, there is no upload to a cloud. The data is stored locally on the iPad without the personal information of the patient, in compliance with GDPR.
